Simple, Complex, Alive at Deutsches Museum
The CRC 235 Exhibition "Simple, Complex, Alive" at Deutsches Museum (DM) was opened by the DM general director and the CRC 235 public relations project leader Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Heckl on Sep 22nd, 2022. The exhibition will be open for visits at the DM until January 15th, 2023.
Molecular Origins of Life 2022
The Molecular Origins of Life, Munich 2022 conference took place on June 16th-17th at Literaturhaus Munich. The event hosted 22 invited speakers in 8 sessions, 80 poster presentations and 200 in person attendees. The talks were broadcasted to the registrants who prefered to attend the event online.
2019 Summer School
The Emergence of Life graduate students organized the first CRC 235 Summer School in Regensburg, on 3-7 June, 2019. Matthew Powner from UCL, Rafal Szabla from Polish Academy of Sciences and Tommaso Fraccia from ESPCI, Paris attended the event as keynote speakers.
2019 Winter Retreat
The members of Emergence of Life got together in Brixen on 18-21 Feb. 2019 to discuss the progress in the projects. Albert Fahrenbach from University of New South Wales, Joseph Moran from University of Strasbourg and Judit Sponer from Masaryk University attended the meeting as guest speakers.
2018 Kick-off Meeting
The first member meeting of Emergence of Life took place at Brauneck-Lengries on July 19th, 2018 to discuss about the ongoing and starting projects. The event hosted Wolfgang Weigand from Friedrich-Schiller-University Jena. He gave a talk titled 'From Prebiotic to Bio-inspired Hydrogen Production'.
